Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting projects and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with our accounting professionals and contribute to the efficient management of our financial operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Fixed Asset Inventory: Assist in conducting and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of fixed assets to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Fixed Asset File Reorganization: Participate in the reorganization of fixed asset files to enhance accessibility and compliance with company standards.
- Develop a Fixed Asset Approval Form: Collaborate with team members to design and implement an approval form for fixed asset management, streamlining the approval process.
- Accounts Receivable Daily Cash Receipts Entry: Support the Accounting team by entering daily cash receipts accurately and promptly into the accounting system.
- Accounts Receivable Collections: Assist in monitoring and managing accounts receivable collections to ensure timely payment from clients and customers.
- Develop an Automated Journal Entry Approval Workflow: Utilize Power Automate hosted on MS Teams to create an automated workflow for journal entry approvals, enhancing efficiency and reducing processing time.
- Assist with Miscellaneous Accounting Transaction Entries: Provide support with various accounting transaction entries as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Teams.
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
