Internship Details
Title of Internship: Accounting Intern Internship Description:The Accounting Internship position offers an opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their knowledge of accounting principles, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a company focused on continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will have the chance to learn and assist in various accounting functions, including but not limited to the following:
- Assisting in posting standard journal entries
- Supporting the management and processing of large quantities of data
- Learning to analyse daily banking transactions and journal entries
- Assisting in GL Account reconciliations
- Observing and learning about compliance with US GAAP and company procedures
- Participating in other related projects as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A valid Driver’s License preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, with familiarity with accounting software and databases being a plus
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and relate well to co-workers
- Availability for flexible hours, with some potential for overtime
- May occasionally require weekend work or participation in special projects
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds (occasionally)
