Title of Internship: Accounting Intern

Internship Description:

The Accounting Internship position offers an opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their knowledge of accounting principles, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a company focused on continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Interns will have the chance to learn and assist in various accounting functions, including but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting in posting standard journal entries
  • Supporting the management and processing of large quantities of data
  • Learning to analyse daily banking transactions and journal entries
  • Assisting in GL Account reconciliations
  • Observing and learning about compliance with US GAAP and company procedures
  • Participating in other related projects as assigned

Internship Requirement/Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • A valid Driver’s License preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with familiarity with accounting software and databases being a plus
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and relate well to co-workers
  • Availability for flexible hours, with some potential for overtime
  • May occasionally require weekend work or participation in special projects
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds (occasionally)
