The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business operations at our brewery & restaurant to identify areas for improvement, optimize efficiency, and increase profitability. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills with a focus on the hospitality industry.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (e.g., POS systems, inventory
- systems, customer feedback surveys, and social media).
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, costs, customer
- satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track performance and identify trends.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
Operational Analysis:
- Analyse operational processes (e.g., brewing, food preparation, customer service, inventory
- management) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement process improvement plans to optimize operations and reduce costs.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses of potential investments and operational changes.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyse financial data (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets) to identify areas for cost reduction and revenue growth.
- Conduct pricing analysis and make recommendations for menu pricing and promotions.
Customer Analysis:
- Analyse customer data to understand customer preferences, behavior, and satisfaction.
- Develop customer segmentation strategies to target specific customer groups.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Technology & Systems:
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and
- customer experience (e.g., POS systems, inventory management software, customer
- relationship management (CRM) systems).
- Assist in the implementation and training of new systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Data Science, or a related field.
