Career Coaching Plus is seeking a creative and driven Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Intern to support our social media presence and program initiatives. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, and visual storytelling while contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on career development.

Key Responsibilities:

The intern will be responsible for the following tasks, based on their creative strengths:

Visual Media Design (Graphic, Video, or Both):

  • Create visually engaging graphics and/or short-form video content for social media.
  • Align all visual output with brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Repurpose or adapt visual content across multiple platforms.
  • Learn and work with tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Printful, or similar.

Content Creation:

  • Develop engaging captions, hashtags, and call-to-action messaging.
  • Learn the craft of curating and scheduling content that reflects the organization’s values and mission.

Program Support:

  • Assist with administrative and coordination tasks for internal program initiatives.
  • Assist in designing and building new product collection utilizing approved company templates
  • Prepare and deliver Capstone Presentation of Internship experience
    • Based on expectations documented during onboarding

Performance Measures

The intern’s performance will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Quality of Work:
    • Timeliness and creativity of graphics produced for social media.
    • Engagement metrics on social media posts (likes, shares, comments).
  • Collaboration:
    • Ability to work effectively with team members and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
    • Feedback from team members regarding communication and teamwork.
  • Task Completion:
    • Adherence to deadlines for all deliverables.
    • Successful execution of tasks outlined in the scope of work.

Objectives

The intern is expected to share and capture knowledge gained to achieve the following objectives during the internship period:

  • Attend/Participate in Onboarding Process (within first two weeks) via virtual network permissions (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.)
    • Confirm network and email access via replying to the welcome email.
    • Confirm access to other required tools
    • Complete review of recommended videos (provided during orientation)
  • Graphics Production:
    • Produce a minimum of 2 graphics per month for social media.
    • Contribute to at least 2 unique social media campaigns over the internship term.
  • Content Engagement:
    • Increase overall engagement on social media platforms by 3% within the six or 12-month internship duration.
    • Maintain a consistent posting schedule of 1 time per week.

Reporting

The intern will report directly to the company’s Founder, Cynthia Harris, who will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship.  Intern will also work in a team setting with other project team members, which will also determine tasks to complete to meet team objectives and within the scope of this requirements


Internship Requirement/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a 3.0 GPA in Graphic Design, Video Production, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Skill in at least one or more creative tools, such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and ChatGPT.  Below are video examples of how these tools will be used for projects within the company and during the internship.

  • A 2.0 GPA is acceptable with relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Equipment:

Must provide their own reliable computers, headsets, and webcams for smooth operation and communication. Internet service and equipment to gain permission access and perform using the following technologies.  In addition, a minimum 10-25 Mbps internet access is required to perform remotely and with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaborative software to ensure smooth performance for running a collection of software collaboration, file management, and video conferencing.
