The Executive Associate Intern will work directly with the CEO. This role provides hands-on experience in executive support, research, community engagement, and business development while offering a unique opportunity to learn about small business ecosystems, entrepreneurship, and strategic consulting.
Internship Requirement/Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
Executive & Administrative Support
- Assist with managing the CEO’s calendar, meeting logistics, and travel coordination.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, and presentation materials.
- Help maintain task tracking systems and prioritize the CEO’s workload.
Research & Strategic Support
- Conduct research on economic development trends, minority entrepreneurship, small business support, and funding opportunities.
- Summarize findings for decision-making and grant drafting.
- Track local initiatives and strategic partnership opportunities.
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Support CEO interactions with clients, funders, and community partners.
- Document engagement efforts and outcomes.
- Assist with participation in webinars, community forums, and events.
Business Development & Marketing
- Support development of pitch decks, client proposals, and capability statements.
- Assist in creating pitch decks, proposals, and capability statements.
- Maintain CRM records, business development pipelines, and outreach systems.
- Help manage company social media accounts, including content creation and analytics.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Communications, Urban Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, especially when managing multiple priorities in limited hours.
- Experience with professional social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) for content planning and engagement.
- Proficiency in productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and project tracking tools (Asana, Trello, etc.).
- Familiarity with small business systems such as QuickBooks, Square, or similar platforms.
- CRM experience (CLICKUP or similar) is a plus.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to equity and inclusion in business.
