Title of Internship: Inventory/Warehouse Internship

Internship Description:

This internship provides hands-on experience in various aspects of a service business including inventory, warehouse and e-commerce operations. Interns will gain knowledge in order fulfilment, online product management, and shipping procedures. They will assist with receiving and verifying product shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and restocking supplies. Additionally, interns will learn and apply safety protocols, including completing OSHA 10 training.

E-commerce:

• Learn the process involved in fulfilling customer orders, responding to requests, preparing shipments and processing shipping fees
• Learn about our online product selection, and how items are added, updated, and priced.
• Assist with developing product information for updating our online store

Receiving:

• Learn about product receiving and proper procedures for documentation, storage and organization.
• Assist with the receiving process and Packing Slip verification and submittal
• Unpacking and organization of incoming product orders

Inventory Control:

• Learn about proper inventory control procedures,
• Conduct month-end inventory counts
• Learn about re-stocking process and keep Manager informed of low counts
• Assist with preparation of inventory for jobsites

Safety:

• Learn Safety requirements for warehouse operations
• Complete OSHA 10 training
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment

Other:

• Uphold Water Management’s standards of quality and excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Internship Requirement/Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. above head.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proven math and reading skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
