Shaffer Evaluation Group is seeking a Marketing Intern to support digital marketing efforts and enhance brand visibility. The role includes content creation for social media, websites, and press releases. Intern will assist in planning campaigns, producing marketing materials, and managing client databases. Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva is required; knowledge of marketing tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of a digital marketing strategy targeting the firm’s ideal customers to enhance brand visibility and generate leads, and support follow-up efforts with potential clients
  • Support the Director of Operations with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns to support our sector portfolios (the arts, K-12 education, higher education, tribal and local governments)
  • Write and edit content for social media platforms, website, and press releases
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral such as blog posts, videos, and capability statements
  • Maintain and update client databases, contributing to effective CRM management
  • Analyse marketing data and create reports on key metrics to monitor strategy and campaign effectiveness, and understand trends
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, note-taking, and preparing presentations

Internship Requirement/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; some graduate-level study preferred
  • Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to ideate, develop, and produce content to engage and educate potential clients
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and balance competing timelines
  • Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset; ability to take ownership of work and see assigned tasks through to completion
  • An unwavering commitment to producing high-quality work products
  • A creative mindset with a knack for thinking outside the box
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and Canva required; knowledge of relevant marketing tools and social media applications is a plus
