Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team and gain exposure to the fundamentals of engineering in a professional setting. This internship is designed for students early in their academic career who are eager to learn, develop technical skills, and understand how engineering principles are applied in real-world projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, assisting with design, testing, documentation, and hands-on activities while building a foundation for future engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineers in day-to-day tasks, including simple design updates and document preparation.
- Assist in creating or modifying basic CAD models and drawings using [SolidWorks/Fusion360/other CAD software]
- Help set up tests, record data, and organize results for review.
- Learn about materials, manufacturing processes, and product assembly through guided activities.
- Observe and participate in problem-solving sessions with senior engineers.
- Maintain organized files and follow company procedures for data management.
- Perform general engineering support duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts from coursework or personal projects.
- Interest in CAD software and willingness to learn company-specific tools.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to ask questions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to CAD or drafting (through classes, clubs, or personal projects).
- Hands-on experience with basic tools, shop equipment, or hobby projects.
- Curiosity about manufacturing processes and product design.
