The Medical/Pathology Intern will support laboratory and hospital-related tasks under the guidance of professionals in the field, with a primary focus on learning, observation, and support work related to pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shadow and assist professionals in pathology and related medical laboratory functions.
- Gain exposure to daily operations in a clinical setting.
- Participate in research or sample processing tasks as directed.
- Attend 1–2 networking or professional development events throughout the program.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and workplace safety protocols.
- Support general administrative tasks related to the laboratory or hospital setting
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Biology, Pre-Med, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pathology or medical laboratory sciences.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and observational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently.
- Reliable transportation to both Frederick, MD and Ashburn, VA.
- Professional, discreet, and trustworthy demeanor.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Suite).
