Position Overview: The Research & Survey Database Development Intern will create a database of research-based survey items, documenting their sources and testing them for validity and reliability. The intern will design and implement a pilot survey to assess question validity and reliability, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, data cleaning, monitoring and tracking of the data.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Develop a database of validated survey questions.
- Design, test, and implement a pilot survey to evaluate question validity and reliability.
- Collect and analyse survey data for reliability and validity.
- Provide insights and recommendations for survey improvement.
- Document methodologies, findings, and evidence-based practices for survey item design in a final report.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and conduct literature reviews as needed.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in social sciences, data science, psychology, public health, education, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with research, survey design, and data analysis.
- Moderate proficiency in Excel, or statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
