2025 Top Virginia Employers for Intern Awards

The Commonwealth seeks to recognize the “Top Virginia Employers for Interns” and their role in providing work-based learning opportunities to students.

V-TOP has extended the nomination period for the upcoming 2025 Top Virginia Employers for Intern Awards. Nominations have CLOSED. Congratulations to our 2025 Top Employers for Interns. Read the full press release and view the list here.
Recipients will be recognized in multiple ways: – via press releases and social media. Regional events recognizing the top employer recipients based in the respective regions (1-9). July 31, 2025 (Virginia Intern Day) – a photo event and reception for 2025 recipients in Richmond.

Virginia Intern Day

V-TOP, SCHEV, the Virginia Chamber Foundation, the Virginia Business Higher Education Council, higher education institutions, and employers across the Commonwealth will celebrate Virginia Intern Day on July 31, 2025. Virginia Intern Day (VID) –last Thursday of July–builds off of National Intern Day as an excellent way to energize stakeholders about the powerful impact that internships and work-based learning have on students. VID marks a great occasion to recognize student-interns, employers, and institutions instrumental in delivering internship and work-based learning opportunities.
